Back In the motherland, Sweden, it's currently the most holy of weekends; midsummer. At the same time it's midwinter here in New Zealand, but at least there is no snow.
I get a bit nostalgic when thinking about how nice midsummers often are way back home. Friends and families gathers on the countryside and brings to much food and drinks. It's probably the most important festive event of the year for me. It's one of the downsides of moving abroad, missing out on the good old traditions.
I hope that all my friends and families enjoying themselves this weekend. I'll raise my cup to the roof and celebrate midsummer tonight with anyone willing!
